The “Make2D” command is an¬†extraordinary¬†tool. To be able to create usable vectors that you can then export out to Illustrator and Photoshop enables you to create dynamic masks, laser cutting paths, illustrations, etc. with great ease. The idea of pulling curves for dimensions off of components for manufacturing is equally important to those in the more product-centric fields.

If you have ideas for uses for this tool, let’s hear them! I’d love to create more dialog on the site between users. Soon we’ll be having monthly modeling assignments and reviews. Stay tuned!
